Account & Data Deletion

Cruisa users can request deletion of their account and associated personal data.

How to Delete Your Account

You may delete your account through the Cruisa app:

Settings → Account → Delete Account

You may also contact us at:

support@cruisa.io

Please include enough information for us to identify your account.

What We Delete

When you delete your account, Cruisa generally deletes or removes from active use:

  • Your profile information
  • Your first and last name
  • Your date of birth
  • Your occupation
  • Your gender
  • Your languages spoken
  • Your profile photos
  • Your stored location coordinates
  • Your push notification token
  • Your account/authentication record, where technically possible

What May Be Anonymized or Retained

Some content may be anonymized rather than fully deleted. For example:

  • One-to-one messages may remain in conversations but no longer identify you
  • Public comments may remain visible or stored but no longer identify you
  • Safety, report, ban, appeal, fraud prevention, and enforcement records may be retained in limited or anonymized form

If your account was banned, we may retain limited or anonymized information to support appeals, prevent repeat abuse, prevent banned users from creating new accounts, protect users, and maintain Service integrity.

Apple Subscriptions

Deleting your Cruisa account or deleting the Cruisa app does not automatically cancel your Cruisa Premium subscription or free trial through Apple. If you signed up for a free trial, such as a 7-day Cruisa Premium trial, the subscription may automatically renew as a paid subscription unless canceled through your Apple ID subscription settings before the trial ends. You must cancel your subscription through your Apple ID subscription settings.

Processing Time

We will process deletion requests within a reasonable period unless retention is required or permitted for legal, safety, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or enforcement reasons.
